Command
okulo mcp
Start an MCP server over stdio so coding agents can call Okulo as tools.
agentsstdio
When to use it
Using Claude Code or another MCP client that should run analyses itself.
Usage
okulo mcp
Examples
Launch the server
okulo mcp
# Configure your MCP client to run this command over stdio
Sample output
Illustrative terminal output (column layout matches the real CLI):
$ okulo mcp
# process stays open on stdio — your MCP client sends JSON-RPC tool calls
# example tool call (conceptual): hotspots { "repo": "/path/to/repo", "window": "6m" }
# example tool result: ranking table / JSON payload for the agent to reason over
How to read it
- No fancy banner: a quiet stdio server is correct. The MCP client owns the session.
- Each tool invocation can pass a repo path and the same knobs as the CLI (window, components, …).
- Agents should still treat social metrics carefully — same responsible-use rules as humans.
Tips
- Repository paths are provided per tool call; default is the server's working directory.
- See Integrations for client setup notes.
